Belenenses snap up Brazilian marksman

Evandro signs 3-year contract

Belenenses have found their replacement for Dady, with the club signing Evandro from Ituano.

The deal for the 23-year-old striker was completed on Wednesday night and the Brazilian is to put pen to paper on a 3-year contract. The player is due to arrive in Lisbon today to make the deal official.

The Portuguese side were not the only club in the hunt for the player’s signature as Santos and Corinthians were also trying to acquire the striker.

It is believed Evandro opted for Belenenses as he will have the opportunity to play in the Uefa Cup this year, something that appealed to him greatly.
