Hugo Almeida

Burly striker Hugo Almeida is Portugal’s great hope in overcoming the country’s traditional dearth of regular goalscorers of the highest order. Despite leaving few question marks as to his potential at FC Porto, Almeida was allowed to move on and he plumped for Werder Bremen in search of more playing time in a competitive league.
