Nem to say goodbye to Braga

Brazilian centre-back deemed excess to club’s requirements

Sporting Braga defender, Nem, has announced that he will no longer be with the club come the end of the season.

The player admitted that there was a difference in ideals between him and the club and both felt that it was best if they parted ways.

“I will no longer play for Sporting Braga after this season,” confessed Nem. “I always wanted to stay at Sporting Braga, but the club’s directors did not have the same will, which was contrary to when I re-signed back in January.”

“I thought about my situation and came to the conclusion that the club no longer required my services.”

The 33-year old Brazilian ends a four-year association with Braga but added that his career is not yet over as he would like to remain in Portugal, and has already received two offers to ponder over.

“I have some things on the table and for this reason I certainly will continue playing in Portugal.”
