Ze Carlos signs contract extension
Brazilian striker to end career at Braga
Sporting Braga striker Ze Carlos has put pen to paper on a two-year contract extension and will look to end his career in 2009.
The 32-year-old forward is immensely happy with the deal and feels that it was the right move.
“Despite going through three coaches this season, we reached the semi-finals of the Portuguese Cup, the Round of Sixteen of the Uefa Cup and we could still attain 4th place,” said Carlos.
“I won the fans over from the very first minute I arrived and I am extremely well liked when I walk the streets. They appreciate my fighting spirit.”
Now that the deal is done Ze Carlos and company will focus on securing 4th place in the table when Braga square off against Nacional on Sunday.
