Jorge Jesus appointed Braga coach
Charismatic manager signs two-year deal
Sporting Braga have officially appointed Jorge Jesus as the club’s new head coach. At a press conference held yesterday, it was announced that Jesus will be at the club for the next two years.
News has been rife concerning the Portuguese tactician’s impending move to the Minho club, with Jesus resigning from his post as Belenenses manager earlier this week and admitting that it was only a matter of time before signing with the Arsenalistas.
Jesus was delighted with the move and is eager to start another new adventure with his ninth club. “Braga are a club with a lot of prestige, just like Belenenses and Vitoria Guimaraes. They are all clubs who have challenged the big three and have similar historical backgrounds and objectives.”
“I will embrace another project, another team and I expect to be just as happy at this club as I was at Belenenses,” Jesus added.
Braga becomes the latest club for Jesus who already possesses an extensive CV. He has previously coached Amora, Felgueiras, Estrela Amadora, Vitoria Setubal, Vitoria Guimaraes, Moreirense, Uniao de Leiria and Belenenses.
