                Star man - Ze Pedro

Inspirational captain Ze Pedro enjoyed a magnificent 2006/07 season for the Blues, and can take a lot of the credit for the club finishing in fifth place in the Bwin Liga and reaching the final of the Portuguese Cup. A cultured yet combative midfielder, Pedro has made a name for himself thanks to his thunderous shot, accounting for several of his nine goals last season.

His form even led to speculation of a January transfer window switch to Benfica, but the captain remained at Belenenses. The 28-year-old now looks forward to show-casing his talents in Europe in the Uefa Cup.
