              Star man - Jose Furtado

Pacos de Ferreira expect big things of their newly acquired striker Jose Furtado. The 24-year-old marksman was a youth player at FC Porto, but made a name for himself after signing for Bulgarian team Vihren Sandanski in 2005. There, he scored 10 goals in 16 matches, earning him a move the country’s top club CSKA Sofia.

After a promising start, injury and an unsavoury training ground incident put an end to his time in the Bulgarian capital, and Pacos were more than happy to bring him back home to boost their Uefa Cup campaign.
