Estrela da Amadora have found the successor to Dauto Faquira, presenting Lito Vidigal as the club’s new head coach.

The 38-year-old Portuguese tactician has signed a two-year deal with the club from the Lisbon suburbs.

Vidigal is thrilled to be coaching a top flight outfit in Portugal. “My goal was to reach the top flight in ten years. Fortunately, I have managed to achieve that five. Some coaches have done a good job in the lower leagues and have not had this opportunity,” said Lito.

The new Estrela boss admits to being a bit anxious in his new post, but is looking forward to the task and promised “hard work and dedication.”

His backroom staff will consist of Lazaro, Fernando Morgado, Jose Aparicio and goalkeeping coach, Tomas.
