Amadora bolster defence with Brazilian capture

Estrela da Amadora have signed central defender, Paulo Cesar, from Club Esportivo Bento Goncalves in Brazil.

The 23-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the club from the outskirts of Lisbon.

The signing provides some relief to Amadora coach, Dauto Faquira, as he needed cover in the centre of defence.

Before the signing, the coach only had two players on the roster for the central defensive positions, Pedro Simoes and Hugo Carreira.

The club are still actively seeking more players for the upcoming season.

Another Brazilian central defender is reported to be in negotiations with the club, but details have not been disclosed.
