Guimaraes bring in Brazilian trio
Three defenders help solidify newly promoted club
Vitoria Guimaraes continue to build for next season after the team won promotion to the Bwin Liga, signing three new faces.
The northern club have signed Brazilians Andrezinho, Marcio Martins and Luciano Amaral. The first two players will represent Guimaraes for the next three seasons, while Luciano has signed on for one season with an option for an additional two.
The 25-year-old Andrezinho joins the club on a free transfer via Vila Nova de Goias and will be the club’s new right-back. Marcio Martins is a 27-year-old central defender who left Figueirense de Santa Catarina to ply his trade in Portugal.
Luciano Amaral arrives from Regatas and will fight it out with Momha for the left-back position. The 24-year-old is the only player that Guimaraes paid for as the club dished out 120,000 euros for his services to a group of agents.
The three players join Fajardo and Carlitos as new recruits for the historical Portuguese club.
