Guimaraes forward Targino shipped out to Denmark

Young forward misses out on Champions League chance

Targino

Vitoria Guimaraes have shipped out U21 starlet Targino to Randers FC of Denmark. The Portuguese forward will again not be part of the club’s squad, as he embarks on his second loan spell after spending the second half of last season with Turkish outfit Vestel Manisaspor.

The move will come as a disappointment to the youngster as the player felt that the loan spell in Turkey helped him mature and develop his game. He was expecting to be a part of the club’s effort to make history by qualifying for the Champions League in August.

That ambition has now been dashed as Manuel Cajuda felt it would be better if Targino spent more time developing abroad rather than at home with another Portuguese club.

Randers finished 6th in the Danish League last season 24 points behind champions Aab Aalborg.
