Levante try to prise away Helder Postiga and Nuno Gomes
Spanish club make audacious bids for Portugal strikers
Levante president, Julio Romero Salvador, has told Portuguese radio station Radio Renascenca that his club are interested in securing the signatures of either Helder Postiga or Nuno Gomes.
Salvador is trying to rebuild his team and admitted that he has presented offers to both clubs for their respective players. “We have presented proposals for both players through an agent, and are awaiting the clubs’ responses.”
Salvador added that the La Liga side would love to sign either of the two Portuguese internationals, but clarified that they are not the only names being pursued.
“We want a striker and are working on various fronts to land what we want and at a price that is acceptable. If we manage to get Postiga or Gomes it would be excellent, but there are other names.”
Levante are no strangers to investing in players from the Portuguese league. The Spanish club signed Laurent Robert from Benfica and Meyong from Belenenses last season.
