Meyong returns to Belenenses
Belenenses will welcome back their prodigal son as the club have sealed a loan deal for Albert Meyong Ze. The former Vitoria Setubal player will play the rest of the season with the Blues after failing to earn playing time with his current club, Levante, in Spain.
The Cameroonian who represented Belenenses back in the 2005/06 season, scoring 17 goals to finish top of the goalscoring charts that year, was transferred to the Valencia based outfit for 2 million euros one and a half seasons ago.
After a dismal first campaign with Levante in which he made 11 appearances, scoring once, both the club and player felt it would be best if he returned to the place where he enjoyed most success.
Meyong is expected to arrive in Lisbon tomorrow where he will reunite with former boss Jorge Jesus and the Portuguese tactician could not be happier with the effort the club have made to bring the Cameroonian back.
“We have never hidden our feelings that we would like to count on Meyong returning. We are extremely satisfied with his return. I believe it will be good, for him as well as for Belenenses, as Meyong is familiar with the club and will find it easy to re-adapt.”

Geromel: “I would like to play in England”
News out of England has broken that Bolton Wanderers are contemplating making a move for Vitoria Guimaraes central defender Geromel.
English newspaper News of the World revealed that Bolton’s scouts rate the Brazilian highly, but may have to wait until the summer to make a move for the player as Geromel is not prepared to leave the Portuguese club fighting for a Champions League place just yet.
“Nobody has spoken to me yet. I have a contract with Guimaraes. I am not aware of any proposal and I am only thinking about Guimaraes,” said Geromel when asked for his reaction to the news.
“England has a fantastic atmosphere and everyone would like to play there. I played against Bolton two years ago and I have seen their matches on television. I am calm. What will happen will happen. What is important is to have my head on straight and if they (Bolton) are interested, it is because I am doing something right,” added the commanding defender.
