Inter snap up teenage Porto starlet

Italian giants Internazionale have completed the signing of 16-year-old Portuguese star Coelho from FC Porto.

Coelho, whose full name is Manuel Alves Barbosa, is the captain of the Portuguese under-17 side, and has penned a 3-year deal at the San Siro.

The youngster will move to Milan immediately and join up with Inter’s successful Allievi Nazionali youth side, managed by Daniele Bernazzani, for next season.

Coelho won’t have far to look for an inspirational figure at his new club, with Portuguese legend Luis Figo currently one year into a two-season deal with the Nerazurri.
