Intertoto Cup:
Leiria lose narrowly in Serbia
Hadjuk Kula 1-0 Uniao de Leiria
Uniao de Leiria went down 1-0 to Serbia’s Hadjuk Kula on Sunday night in the first leg of their third round Intertoto Cup match.
The loss means that the Leiriense have it all to do in the return leg this coming Sunday.
A Milan Peric strike in the 42nd minute was enough to see the Serbians take a slim lead heading into the second leg.
Paulo Duarte’s men will now regroup and count on the home support to push his team through to the next round in their quest to earn a spot in the Uefa Cup.
