Pacos de Ferreira close in on Jose Furtado capture

Portuguese striker to leave Bulgarian nightmare behind him

News coming out of Pacos de Ferreira is that the club are primed to sign Portuguese striker, Jose Furtado.

Fans will remember the name as the player was the subject of a violent attack by his own team-mates last season while at CSKA Sofia.

The player has since unsurprisingly rescinded his contract with the Bulgarian outfit and Pacos have stepped in to sign the 23-year-old.

The player’s agent, Jorge Baidek, has held a meeting with Pacos directors and an announcement making the deal official is expected soon.
