RomaniaCFR Cluj drew 2-2 with Politehnica Timisoara in Romania, with Antonio Semedo scoring the opening goal for the home side. ScotlandPedro Moutinho scored as Falkirk enjoyed a convincing 4-0 win at newly-promoted Gretna on the opening day of the new Scottish Premier League season. Former Penafiel forward Moutinho, who signed a new contract with the club during the summer, scored his team’s third goal on 66 minutes, before being withdrawn with ten minutes remaining. Tiago was not in the Falkirk squad. SwitzerlandThis weekend saw the Swiss league season play its fourth round of matches, with last season’s runners-up Basel suffering a humiliating 5-1 defeat at early leaders Young Boys. Pedro Moutinho celebrated his new contract signed with Falkirk during the summer with a goal on the opening day of the season to help his team to a storming start to their Scottish Premier League campaign. Moutinho and Falkirk fans will be hoping it is the first of many in 2007/08.
