FC Porto triumph in Atalanta Tournament

Dragons beat Red Star Belgrade and Atalanta to lift trophy

FC Porto picked up where they left off last season with another trophy as the Dragons won the triangular Atalanta Tournament.

The Portuguese champions defeated Red Star Belgrade and hosts Atalanta by 1-0 results to be crowned victors.

Both games where played in quick succession last night in single 45 minute halves. Adriano (pictured) gave Porto the victory against the Serbians with a spectacular overhead strike, while Lisandro Lopez ensured the trophy was going to Portugal when he scored against the Serie A side.

The tournament proved a useful test for the club, allowing Jesualdo Ferreira more opportunities and time to tinker with his squad as they prepare to defend their title this season.
