Pitbull, Moraes and Lima on Setubal agenda
Sadinos eye triple loan capture from FC Porto
Vitoria Setubal are looking to sign Bruno Moraes, Claudio Pitbull and Leandro Lima on loan from FC Porto.
The trio appear not to figure in Jesualdo Ferreira’s plans for the upcoming season as the Portuguese champions prepare to find homes for their cast-offs, and the Estadio do Bonfim could well be their new home.
Moraes and Pitbull are no strangers to the Sadinos. Both have represented the club on separate occasions. Still unaware of where their future lies, both forwards would welcome a move to the Uefa bound club if need be.
“At this moment, I still do not know where my future will be,” said Moraes. “My contract ends in June of next year and at the moment I am trying to renew my association with FC Porto. I think that it is possible, as the thought of returning to Setubal – where I was always treated well – pleases me.”
As for Pitbull, the skilful Brazilian who enjoyed a superb season last year on loan at Setubal is also open to a return.
“Only on the 8th of this month will my situation be resolved during a meeting which I have scheduled. Either FC Porto opts to sell me to the clubs who are interested or a new loan deal will happen,” said Pitbull.
“If the second option comes to pass then I can return to Vitoria Setubal where I experienced one of my best seasons ever. I was appreciated there and they are my second skin.”
Leandro Lima’s future is also up in the air as the former Brazil U20 starlet cannot nudge his way into Porto’s squad. New Setubal coach Dauto Faquira rates the player highly and has given the board his approval to bring the left-back to the Bonfim.
