West Ham boo-boys drive Boa Morte out of London club

Ex Portuguese international unhappy at Upton Park

Luis Boa Morte has hinted that he is ready to leave West Ham United, having grown tired of being a target of abuse from the Upton Park fans.

The Portuguese has endured a tough 18 months with the Hammers since moving from Fulham last January, with the supporters never taking to the Portuguese international, who has been in England for almost eleven years.

The situation has worsened in recent months, with Boa Morte regularly singled out for abuse by the home crowd, leading the former Arsenal man to declare his unhappiness at his current condition at the club.

“I have two years left on my contract at West Ham but I don’t like the situation and we’ll see what happens in the summer,” he said.

“I will sit down with the chairman and the manager and speak to them about it to find the best solution. Nobody likes to get booed every week when your name is read out and when you touch the ball, so it is not a good situation.”

It is not the first time Boa Morte has expressed his dissatisfaction with life at West Ham and his most recent comments come just days after English paper The Times ran a story claiming that the 30-year-old would leave the club as part of manager Alan Curbishley’s summer clearout.
