Nani Video Clips: Have Sporting fans seen the last of him?

Sporting’s latest wing sensation set to leave

What do Luis Figo, Simao Sabrosa, Ricardo Quaresma and Cristiano Ronaldo all have in common?

This group comprises some of the world’s finest wingers over the last decade and incredibly they all learned their trade coming through the ranks at the same club: Sporting Clube de Portugal, more commonly known outside Portugal as Sporting Lisbon.

It now seems certain the latest gem to roll off Sporting’s unrivalled conveyor belt will follow in the footsteps of his predecessors by leaving the Lisbon club at a young age.

The Sporting faithful will feel maddened and frustrated at the club’s inability to hold on to players of the very highest standard, while Manchester United fans can look forward to having possibly the game’s two finest wingers operating in tandem over the next decade.
