Adu makes smart move joining Benfica

American starlet Freddy Adu arrived at Lisbon airport yesterday to be welcomed by a hoard of journalists eager to register his first reactions following his move from the MLS to Portuguese giants Benfica.

Football Commentator says:

“While not the club most would have imagined him joining in Europe, this is probably a smart move.

“First of all, he gets Champions League football, and he also has realistic expectations of a regular starting place since Benfica sold Simao Sabrosa to Atletico Madrid last week.”
