It wasn't the penalty or lack there of that cost us this season.. it was the dropped points to crap teams that cost us this season.
We could've still lost to Porto and still won.. we dropped a lot of points to cinderella squads.
Also JJ's playing of inferior players and rewarding playing time with inferior play.. had the team firing on all the wrong cylinders when it mattered most.
Nolito for example who was one of the top scorers for the team scored 15 as mostly a sub. He also was at the top of the assists list.
Emerson who was atrocious in defense played almost every game bar injury.
Rodrigo was starting when he was hampered by an injury.. I am sure that will help him recover for next year.. hopefully he didn't do permanent damage to himself.
Cardozo in some key matches did not start.. he is the number scorer..?
The absurdity goes on and on if you look at every position on the field it was mismanaged to a some extent.
How would you like a boss that micro manages everything you do on the field constantly screaming instructions like a crown Jester.
I know I have a few bosses that micro managed.. and every time I could.. I would screw them somehow.. dropping in some poor performances at key times making them look bad.
Sound familiar?
Because it sure sounds like the flat teams that showed up during the most important games.
