So Simao's also left Besiktas then. There's a serious Portuguese exodus out of the club this summer, the coach has left, Quaresma has gone awol, Fernandes has been rumoured to be leaving too, and now Simao as well. Failed experiment? I always felt it was a risky move for all of them, as Besiktas are usually only the 3rd best in Turkey and that didn't change with them all there! Quaresma though seems to have been rejuvenated since playing in Turkey and it's time for him to move up a gear and play in a bigger league.
As for Simao, he can enjoy a few seasons in the strongest league in Europe to wind down his career. He apparently offered his services to return to Benfica this summer, but where could he have fitted in with all the wingers we have in the squad? I wish him all the best at Espanyol.
Good move for Bosingwa too, not only remaining in the Premiership, but remaining in West London! QPR are a team on the up, even though they got hammered on the opening day of the new season...surely with defending like that he will head straight into the first team lol! Good moves for both..
