Star man - Gottardi

Behind every successful relegation scrap, there is a fine goalkeeper, and Leiria are no exception. Plucked from Brazilian obscurity in the summer of 2010, Gottardi took to Portuguese football like a duck to water, and played a major role in Leiria's eventual comfortable survival. A commanding presence and athletic shot-stopper, the 25 year-old may find himself central once again this season.

Is that stadium really ugly? At the photo it looks really nice and the view at the castle is mesmerizing.

The capacity is correct. It was originally planned to be 29-30,000 but the stadium was never finished, the end on the left (on the picture) behind the goal was never finished. I know because I went to the stadium last year since my family is from the Leiria area. A very ugly stadium to say the least.

I think the stadium capacity of 24,000 is incorrect. The number should be much higher.
