Europa League: Porto to face City
Braga-Besiktas, Legia Warsaw-Sporting
A mouthwatering clash between FC Porto and Manchester City provided the highlight of afternoon's Europa League round of sixteen draw, whilst Braga were paired with Carlos Carvalhal's Besiktas, and Sporting with Legia Warsaw. Should Porto and Sporting advance, they will meet in the round of sixteen. |

Ten-man Braga held in Belgium
Club Brugge 1-1 Braga
Braga, hindered by Elderson's sending off in the 15th minute, came from behind to draw 1-1 at Club Brugge tonight. Vleminckx put the hosts ahead shortly after the break, but Ewerton equalised on 64 minutes. A valiant effort from Leonardo Jardim's ten men failed to yield the goal they needed to finish top of Group H, as Braga qualified as runners-up. |

Sporting youngsters gunned down in Rome
Lazio 2-0 Sporting
Sporting continued their unenviable record of never having won a match in Italy after losing 2-0 against Lazio tonight. A goal in each half by Kozak and Sculli gave the hosts the three points, but a youthful Sporting side, who finished the match with six Alcochete academy players on the pitch, did not disgrace themselves.
Lazio progress to the knockout stage, finishing in second place in Europa League Group D, behind their Portuguese opponents. |

Europa League preview
Group stage draws to a close
Having both sealed their places in the Europa League knockout phase a fortnight ago, Sporting and Braga go into their final match day trips to Lazio and Club Brugge with little to play for, though the latter will be aiming for victory and the top spot it would guarantee.
