Villas Boas wants out of basement

Academica coach tired of being in last place

villas_boas.jpgWith three matches under his belt, Andre Villas Boas feels it's high time that Academica get out of being dead last in the standings and will look to better his team's position against Uniao de Leiria.

The recently appointed Estudantes boss has made an impressive start with the Coimbra-based outfit, posting two wins and a defeat, in all competitions. Academica have looked rejuvenated under their new coach, who has grown tired of seeing his team at the very bottom of the table.

"Academica will go into this game with the aim to win because it could get us out of being in last place," explained the Briosa coach. "I expect a match between two teams who have a winning spirit. We want to improve our level of performace, as we have been doing since the game against Portimonense"

Villas Boas doesn't think that he will have it easy against Leiria as the Portuguese tactician feels that his upcoming opponents are "strong and dynamic."
