Eder weary of Porto's European backlashAcademica forward hopes to take advantage of Dragoes poor form After the mid-week action in Europe comes to an end, all eyes will be glued to the domestic challenge as Academica host FC Porto and for striker Eder, the Estudantes could very well receive the wrath from the reigning Portuguese champions' display last night.
Porto are coming off a shocking display against Arsenal in the Champions League which sent the two-time European champions crashing out of the tournament and this loss could propel the Dragoes into harnessing their energy into their very next opponents, according to Eder. "What happened in London could be good or bad for us," said the Briosa player. "I think Porto will come into the match much more aggressive and will want to win in order to show their supporters that their pride has been hurt." "What has happened to them this season? They sold important players, but also signed others which should have given them a varity of solutions. Maybe the newer players haven't adapted yet, I don't know." "FC Porto are one of the big clubs (in Portugal) and we will do everything to get a good result - a win or draw." by Marco Pereira Add your comment |
