Amaury Bischoff shown the door by Arsenal

Portugal U21 player joins Fonte in leaving the Gunners

Amaury BischoffArsenal today announced that Portugal U21 international Amaury Bischoff is to be released. The French-born former Werder Bremen player is the second Portuguese to leave the Londoners this close season, after Rui Fonte was also informed he was free to seek a new club.

Amaury will be leaving after failing to make an impact during his one season at the Premier League club. He was a regular in Arsenal’s reserve team, but only made four substitute appearances for the first team.

Indeed, Amuary’s best football this season came in a Portugal shirt as the midfielder impressed for the Under-21s, even leading to rumours that Portugal’s big three were pondering making a move for the player.

Like Rui Fonte, now back at Sporting but likely to be loaned out for a season, Amaury must now take stock and try to prove at another club that Arsene Wenger got it wrong.

What a good way to promote young players. From 40 only 2/3 stays...

When was the last time that Arsenal won the Premiership? What's happening? This policy results?

Well he only played 22 minutes for Werder Bremen's first team. The rest of the time he spent with their reserves.

I guess the reason why Wenger bought him is because, like him, he is from Straßbourg.

I would like to add that Werder Bremen is by far the best team in Germany.
It's a shame

I don't blame them, their is too much young talent in Arsenal. Sure to be the best you have to compete with the best, but these are the type of players that need first team play. Possibly come to Portugal and play or find a team in England where they can find first team.
Young Players Not Cutting It

Two young Portuguese players not impressing at Arsenal and being told to seek employment somewhere else. A further sign that there are very few young Portuguese player prospects and not boding well for the future of Portuguese soccer. In fact there are very few good Portuguese players this summer in transfer news because there is very few players that are any good and promising.
