Amaury Bischoff open to Sporting moveBut Portugal U21 international targets success at Arsenal Arsenal midfielder Amaury Bischoff has revealed that two Portuguese clubs have enquired about a possible transfer, adding that he would be open to a move to Sporting. Nevertheless, the rising star admits that for the time being he will do everything in his power to make it at the Premiership club.
Bischoff was a surprise signing by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. The player’s subsequent strong showings for Portugal at U21 level suggest that the wily Frenchman has identified another excellent talent. Yet the French-born Bischoff has only played three matches for Arsenal’s senior team, his contract expires in the summer and the club is yet to offer him a new one. “Arsenal continues to be my priority but I know two big Portuguese clubs are interested in me,” revealed Bischoff to the French press. “If I went to Portugal I would prefer Sporting because it is a highly prestigious club that plays attractive football.” The 21-year-old Bischoff started his professional career in France at Strasbourg before moving to Germany and playing for Werder Bremen. by Tom Kundert Add your comment |
