Adu returns to BenficaBelem club also release Igor Belenenses have officially announced that they have allowed Freddy Adu and Igor to return to their parent clubs, Benfica and Sevilla, respectively.
The word came down via club president Viana de Carvalho as the American Adu has had a horrid time with the Restelo outfit. The former DC United player only amassed 81 playing minutes since joining the club on loan in the summer. The 20-year-old has not had the best of luck since making the move to Europe, but will get another look with Benfica now that Jorge Jesus has been inserted as head coach. As for Igor, the 21-year-old Brazilian has featured even less with the Azuis, having only earned 37 playing minutes. Many people had expectations on him when he was more younger, a lot of clubs like Milan, Inter, Roma, Sevilla, Manchester etc were interested... why they all lose their interest and only Benfica bring him up to europe? and then everybody refuses him...worst then Balboa.
