There is more work to be done - JesusBenfica tie Jorge Jesus down until 2013 After winning the national title and the Carslberg Cup in his first year at the helm, Jorge Jesus has been rewarded and has extended his stay with the Lisbon side until 2013.
Benfica officially announced through the Comissao do Mercado do Valores Mobiliarios (Portugal's Stock Market Regulator) that the club has picked up the option on the Portuguese tactican's deal and will have Jesus remain for another two years. The news will come as a thrill to all Benfica supporters as many were wondering if the newly crowned Portuguese champions were going to lose Jesus, but now those concerns have been laid to rest. Jesus himslef is elated to have prolonged his affiliation with the club and will not waste any time in getting back to work. "I think that after what has been accomplished, I have to continue at Benfica, which is a club that has strength and a very strong dynamic," said Jesus to SIC. "The renewal represents the confidence that the board of directors have transmitted and the culmination of a brilliant season." Jesus went further and added that Benfica acted when they did because they know that he had other offers and wanted to avoid losing the championship winning manager. Eduardo dismissedJorge Jesus was not the only announcemnet Benfica made as the organisation also denied that the club are interested in signing Sporting Braga's Eduardo.The Aguias again went through the CMVM and categorically renounced that they are attemtping to bring the Portuguese international to the Estadio da Luz, in an attempt to put an end to all the rumours. by Marco Pereira |
Jesus is evoluting day by day to this sensational coach,who is capable of living Benfica,and thus breathing 24 hours,his work at Benfica!!!
He thinks 24 hours in football,so he has loads of excellent ideas that he puts to practice,almost every day!!!
I hope that he stays two years more,in order to have time,to be European Champion!!!
