Kardec praises Jorge Jesus influenceBrazilian promises dedication
Kardec, 21, moved to Lisbon from Brazilian club Vasco da Gama in January, and was afforded occasional runouts by Jorge Jesus during the remainder of the team’s highly successful season. Overall, the striker made 13 appearances in all competition, with his solitary goal a memorable late winner against Marseille in the Europa League. Now, as he prepares to start his first full term with the club, Kardec has hailed the help of Jorge Jesus in assisting his development, and says he will give everything to repay the faith shown in him by everyone at Benfica. “He (Jorge Jesus) is able to talk to players about the things you need to improve, to help you to become the best player you can be and to help Benfica,” said Kardec. “I have worked with him for half a year and I am very happy with the way he has helped me get more out of myself and improve my weaknesses. “I know my qualities, I know what I’m capable of. I also know that it won’t be easy, but I am here to always work with great humility and a great desire to be even better, to match what the club and fans expect of me. “I don’t want to promise a certain amount of goals. What I can promise is hard work and dedication and the fans can be assured that I will give everything to give them the happiness they deserve for being a great crowd. They are always close to us, helping us and carrying us forward.”

This kid has S.T.U.D. written all over him. As long as he's under the influence of J.J. he'll deliver the promise of his raw talents. Between Kardec, Jara, Eder Luis & a young and coming on soon Nelson Oliveira I believe the Aguias are going to be all set up front. Nevermind the fact that Cargolo & Savi are still in there primes.

I really like this guy's determination he's going to give Savi and Cardozo a tough time for the starting position. I'm excited to see him play!!

Every time I see this player he just keeps getting better and better. It seems like Cardozo will stay with Benfica this season but if he leaves, I have full confidence that he will be an ideal replacement.
