Well this shows even more SLB's focus is on attack,attack!! How things have changes since the Trappatoni and Koeman years when they were so defence-minded!! I think, as much as i'd like to see him stay, its probably inevitable that Di Maria will be lost in the summer,they cant really turn down that sort of money. but what they should do is get Quaresma as a replacement. He wouldnt cost big money and would be a perfect replacement. Quaresma, back in Portugal and with the confidence that would come with being a regular starter, could get back to his world-class form of a few years ago, a massive potential that hasnt quite been realised yet.

All this means is that Nuno Gomes will leave at the end of the season

this is just a sign in my opinion that at the end of the season cardozo will be shipped out(sold) and so this would be the reason they bought another striker to only join the team in the summer
