Alan decides to stay with BragaForward renews with Arsenalistas He was one of their stand-out players last season and will get the chance to to do it all over again as Alan is set to sign a new deal with Sporting Braga.
The talisman's future was very much in doubt as it was reported that the likes of Sporting and Al-Sharjah were keen on taking the Brazilian on. But after some deliberation, the 30-year-old is expected to remain with the minhoto club until 2014. The forward is happy with his decision and feels that staying with Braga was the right move for him and his family. "There were other offers, but the president of Sporting Braga (Antonio Salvador) thought that it would be best if I continue," said Alan to Maisfutebol. "We spoke about it and reached an accord to renew. This contract is good for me, my family and Sporting Braga. It gives me stability." "There did exist other proposals, not including the one from Al-Sharjah, but now there's no need to speak about it. I only want to think about having a great season and helping Sporting Braga." "I would be happy to end my career with this club, but we will see what happens this season and then afterwards I will speak with the president." by Marco Pereira
