Braga sign Real Madrid prospectSarabia to arrive in January According to Spanish daily AS, Sporting Braga have reached an accord with Real Madrid and have secured the services of Real Madrid youth product Pablo Sarabia.
The U19 Spanish midfielder is regarded as one of Real's hottest prospects and Braga shelleld out 3 million euros for the 18-year-old. Sarabia will link up with his new club come the new year, as space on Real's senior team has been blocked by the likes of Kaka, Ozil and Canales. The youngster joins a list of Real youth players who have joined clubs abroad, including Rodrigo, Alipio and Marcos Alonso. Should Sarabia's development come along nicely, Real have inserted a clause where they can buy the midfiedler back within the next two years. by Marco Pereira |

Ok, the Finish. If Braga keeps playing at this level , I just might have to turn in my Porto Jersey.
Braga, Porto, Benfica, etc, have the responsibility to field a winning team for their fans, within the rules and regulations. If the rules say they can field 11 foreigners, then that is their right.
Sporting have invested huge money in developing Portuguese talent, and we are all grateful for that. However, it has done nothing to resolve the financial mess that they are currently in, rather it has added to it.
I can't even remember any portuguese player that came from Benfica's academy playing for the national team. Fabio Coentrao is from rio ave's academy.
Quim, Diego, Miguel Garcia, Silvio, Custodio, H Viana, H Barbosa.
Also, Braga have developed some decent Portuguese talent, considering their small amount of resources. Quim, Eduardo, Paulo Santos, Tiago, Ricardo Rocha, Orlando Sa.
They have other players currently like, Yazalde and Pizzi.
Each team has the right to manage itself the way it wants. There is a fine balance between trying to build a successful club on a small budget.
and on another note everyone seems to praise braga (including me) on their achievements but no one seems to be looking at their roster. last time i looked i think they had around five portugese players and about 15 brazilians. ????
These kinds of moves reveal just how intelligent Braga is. They are trying to find the right pieces to the puzzle as opposed to just buying costly, famous players like most teams do nowadays.
