Goalkeeper stresses team success

The squad for Sporting Braga have reported for pre-season training and the team will seek to improve on last season's achievements in the post Jorge Jesus era. According to goalkeeper Eduardo, nothing has changed as everyone associated with the club is focsed on being successful.

The Portuguese international was very blunt when asked what Braga's upcoming objectives were as the goalkeeper emphasised that the squad will continue where they left off in their last campaign and hope to surpass previous plateaus.

"We always want to do better, which is the club's motto," stated Eduardo. "We are starting a new cycle (with a new coach), but the course is to be maintained."

As for his own future, rumours have surfaced that the netminder may be on his way to Benfica, but Eduardo assured Braga supporters that he remains fully committed to the club.

"I am here and completey focused, with body and soul. I do not know if there exists the possibilty of being negotiated."

Evaldo unawre of Cologne interest

Braga's left-back Evaldo has been the subject of transfer speculation as Bundesliga side Cologne have been linked with the player.

The full-back claims he is unaware of the German's club interest and reiterated that he would have no issue remaining with the Arsenalistas.

"I still do not know anything," confessed Evaldo. "I believe my agent would have already spoken to me if he knew something."

"If I stay, I would be happy for the rest of my life. I have three years left on my contract and I am at a very good club."
