Mourinho has said repeatedly that although a Seleccao manager should be from Portugal, it's an old man's job.
He is far from being an old man.
I understand his reasoning, due to the fact that Int'l managers just don't have that much to do. A great dal of their work is going to events in order to gain more finances/investment for the FPF.
If he were to come it would be on a part-time basis, which no club he's managing would allow. Frankly I wouldn't want that either, since it would be a disservice to players that need to be evaluated.
