Joao Silva quick to impress at Everton
Young striker praised by Phil Neville
Former England international and Everton captain Phil Neville has given a ringing endorsement to the club’s new Portuguese signing Joao Silva.
Silva was snapped up by the Premier League team after scoring 14 goals in 30 games in a highly promising debut year for Desportivo das Aves in the Liga Vitalis (
“He’s an exciting signing. Joao is really quiet but he’s showed real quality as a striker. Even though he’s Portuguese, he plays like an English style centre-forward and he’s impressed everybody with his aerial ability,” said Neville, who added that Silva is also doing a fine job of adapting to his new colleagues and surroundings.
Silva only recently turned 20 years old and has already been tipped as “the new Pauleta” by some Portuguese pundits. Pauleta never kicked a ball in his home country’s top flight, something that Silva may mirror should his career take off in

I hope i had helped
I have my doubts about Yannick and Orlando Sa so this guy may be the ONE but as much as I admire Pauleta I hope he able to score against good competion and not just minnows like Pauleta.
