FC Porto secure Pawel Kieszek

Dragoes reinforce net-minding duties

kieszek.jpgFC Porto are in the midst of a revolution as the club announced they have signed goalkeeper Pawel Kieszek from Sporting Braga while sending striker Helder Barbosa the other way.

Kieszek becomes Porto's sixth signing, and third since Tuesday, and will fight for the starting spot between the posts with Beto and Helton.

In order to see the transfer materialise, Porto sent striker Helder Barbosa to Sporting Braga. It was reported earlier that the forward would be making his way to the minhoto club, but the move has now become official. There were no transfer fees involved in the negotiations.

Both clubs have been very active this off-season as Porto try to regain the Portuguese championship and Braga attempt to secure a spot amonst Europe's top 32 sides in the Champions League, and better their second place finish last season.
