Lisandro closer to Lyon move

Porto ace seduced by Ligue 1 side

Lisandro LopezLisandro Lopez's exit from FC Porto has drawn slightly closer as the striker has already agreed to terms with French giants Lyon according to the player's agent.

Fernando Hidalgo told Maisfutebol that his client has reached an agreement with the Ligue 1 club and all that remains is for the two clubs to come to the table and thrash out a deal.

"What I can confirm is that we received a very good proposal from Lyon and it has pleased Lisandro," claimed the FIFA agent. "On our part there is no problem."

"I cannot say that the accord is settled because, at this time, there still does not exist an agreement between the two clubs."

"Lisandro will only close the deal with Lyon after he has received authorisation from FC Porto. But what I can say is that the offer from Lyon is very good."

Why would you leave a champion like Porto to go play for a secondary team like Lyon. I am sure Porto could match any offer Lyon makes for Lisandro and Porto is a better team that plays regularly in the champions league. This is not even a lateral move. I guess Lisandro prefers to play in a weak league for an inferior team.
