Galliani speaks out on Cissohko dealMilan vice-president explains decision
Everything appeared to be in order between Porto and Milan as the clubs agreed on a fee which would see the former Setubal player make the jump to the Italian championship, but through a twist of events, Milan called off the deal as they found an issue with Cissokho's dental condition and could not come to a compromise with the Portuguese giants. Now Galliani has spoken to the Italian media clarifying that the rossoneri did attempt to renegotiate terms of the deal based on their medical discoveries, but decided to send Cissokho back to Portugal after failing to reach an agreement with Porto. "The negotiation has ended and is now part of the past," barked Galliani. "We did not reach an accord with FC Porto; not for a loan with an option to buy or a reduction in the price, considering the (medical) issues." "Negotiations were ongoing for a day and a half, but there was no accord, despite FC Porto's and our willingness to do something." "I believe that we have a lot of full-backs already. We have Zambrotta, Oddo, Jankulovski, Antonini, Bonera and Flamini can also play there. We are well covered." By Marco Pereira

One of the most bizzare transfer deals to have (not) taken place has, perhaps, finally come to an end as AC Milan executive Adriano Galliani spoke out and explained why the Italian club decided to pull the plug on the deal which would have seen Aly Cissokho make the switch to the Serie A side in a 15m-euro move.
