FC Porto acquire Sereno

Deal disclosed by Valldolid president

sereno.jpgFC Porto have reached an agreement to sign Vitoria Guimaraes defender Sereno, according to Valladolid president Carlos Suarez.

The Spanish club were desperately trying to sign the Portuguese stopper during the current transfer window, but have admitted defeat and admitted that the stopper had been lured by the Portuguese champions' overtures.

"We did not reach an accord as we made a proposal for Sereno for him to play at Valldolid, which he rejected, " confessed Suarez. "He will be playing for for a bigger club with which he has already settled details with and, as a result, there was little we could do."

"I can say, yes, he has reached an accord with Porto as our proposal did not satisfy his interests."

Sereno is expected to join the Dragoes for the beginning of the 2010/11 season.

I think that is obvious with this acquire that Bruno Alves are going to leave FCPorto at the end of the season.
Very good acquisition by FCPorto without costs, another very good deal!
