River Plate brokering Farias returnStriker seeking more first-team football Ernesto Farias' tenure with FC Porto may be coming to a close as Argentine gianst River Plate are working hard to bring the striker back to the El Monumental.
The 29-year-old has seen very little action and has been mainly used as a substitute since joing the reigning Portuguese champions in 2007. Farias has managed to notch five goals this season in all competitions, but has been used sparingly by Jesualdo Ferreira. The arrival of Falcao has not helped the Argentine's situation any and the player himself might be feeling that he has had enough and is willing to return to his native Argentina, with his former club, in order to seek more playing time and of making Diego Maradona's World Cup squad. "He is a player who was a part of our team who then transferred there (FC Porto). He has played little and we are trying to have him return to River. Yes, we are very interested," decalred River Plate vice-president Domingo DIaz to Renascenca. "Yes, it is possible that he can return. I don't know all the details of the negotiations or what (Daniel) Passarella (president) said, but it is possible that he can return to Argentina." "The player is willing to reduce his salary so that he can have the opportunity to be present at the World Cup." by Marco Pereira |

If he goes to River Plate, we should replace him with a good forward ready to enter on 11. Why not Danny from Zenit or Kleber from Cruzeiro?
