The Italian have paid in the region of €4.5m for the 27-year-old, after lengthy negotiations between the clubs finally came to a conclusion with an agreement in the early hours of this morning. I think somebody else already mentioned it, but the bright side of not going to Manchester United or Arsenal is that he will definitely start right away and won't have to compete as much for his position.
Still, I would've loved to see him play at Old Trafford or the Emirates. I know Arsenal really need a keeper and he's much better than freaking Almunia or the other trash keeper they have, Fabianski.
Maybe the world cup wasn't enough? Perhaps he just needs more exposure in the European game. The only problem is that he will only be playing in Italy next season, since Genoa did not qualify for the Europa League.
Well, if he has the kind of season that he had last year with Braga, I don't see how teams can continue to ignore him. I just don't know if he'll get enough exposure playing for a team like Genoa. He may be forced to light it up at Euro 2012 before he moves to a big club.
Pretty ridiculous. They should have held out.
Also, Eduardo should be going to a better team.
Not a good move all the way around...
I also feel that Genoa got him on the cheap.
Unfortunately, it looks as if Braga is looking to cash in on last years great run, instead of trying to do it again.
We'll see?
