PAOK chasing Nuno AssisMidfielder mulling over move
PAOK are currently being coached by Portuguese tactician Fernando Santos and finished their campaign runners-up to Olympiakos. The club are already making plans for next season and see the former Benfica man as a top priority. Besides Santos, theTwo-Headed Eagles also have Sergio Conceicao and Vieirinha on the books and would like to expand their Portuguese repertoire by adding Assis. The 31-year-old midfielder confessed to Greek daily Metrosport that the club have intiated contact and are waiting for his response. "Yes, I have spoken with PAOK's director Zsis Vryzas. He made me an offer, but I still have to think about what I want to do," confessed Assis. "I do have some offers from abroad and it would certainly be interesting to leave Portugal, but I have to think about it. I have a contract with Vitoria Guimaraes for another two years and within two or three days I will clarify my situation." Rumour has it that besides Assis, Santos is looking to retain Vieirinha and bring in Joao Paulo Andrade, who is currently on loan with FC Rapid Bucharest. by Marco Pereira
