Meireles signs on for additional yearMidfielder to remain with club until 2011 Vitoria Guimaraes have done a little bit of business as the club announced that they have extended the contract of team captain Flavio Meireles until 2011.
The 33-year-old's deal was due to expire in 2010, but both parties came to terms on a one-year deal and the long-serving Guimaraes man is delighted with prolonging his affiliation. "I am extremely happy for having renewed," said Meireles. "Everyone knows that this was always my intention. I hope to to conitnue to be at this club for many years. It was naturally easy to reach an agreement because both parties were interested in this coming together." Add your comment |
