Regarding Joao/Holanda's views. Joao you are so pessimistic it's untrue, it almost seems like you actually want Portugal to lose so that you can justify your pessimism in them. Are you really a Seleccao fan? Doesn't seem like it mate! I am realistic too and clearly we are underdogs in this group. But I also know that if Portugal click they can beat team in this group (or tournament).
I think you and many others are possibly over-rating Germany as if they are some sort of unbeatable team. Don't forget how ordinary Germany was made to look by Spain in the WC semi-final 2 years ago (that was in fact Spain's easiest match of the entire tournament and they were so comfortable through-out that it was actually a boring spectacle to watch). Perhaps you been living in Holland too long and are believing the hype that they are a super-team too. The reality is that they have disappointed just as much as Portugal have in the last 2 decades, and we have a dominant head-to-head record over them (only lost once in 8 matches).
So yes I agree they will both start off as favorites against us, but anything can happen on a football pitch, and if we could beat Spain (the best team in Europe) we can beat any of the teams in this group..so let's see what happens.
