To say that Nelson was more accomplished than Rodrigo just because of the U-20, is crazy. Rodrigo also had a very good tourney in which he scored 3 goals.
Let me also add that although he got injured and missed some time, he's till got meaningful minutes at Bolton last season.
It's almost silly to say that one is more deserving than the other. Both could become excellent goal scores for Benfica or another. Frankly I don't care who gets it done as long as someone does.
I still say that they're both mostly likely to go since they would bring in the most profit. The powers at be would look for Cardozo to hold down the fort while new strikers were brought in and developed. Easier said than done.
Lastly, Bento would be foolish not too include Nelson on the squad for the Euros. Even if he were to sit on the bench, the experience and atmosphere would serve him well.
