Maritimo willing to negotiate Baba & Djalma

Club confirms interest in pair

babadiawara2.jpgWith the transfer window just around the corner, speculation surrounding the futures of Maritimo duo Baba (pictured) and Djalma is picking up as the club announced that they would be open to the notion of negotiating the two players.

Rumours have surfaced that Sporting were very keen on bringing the pair to the Alvalade in Januray, but with uncertainty surrounding the Lisbon club's finances, the double transfer might be unattainable.

But Maritimo president Carlos Pereira has now come out and admitted that Sporting, as well as other clubs, have made contact and have asked what it would take to strike an accord for the forwards.

"There has been an approach, but it was one of many as Sporting are not the only club to show interest in these two players," confessed Pereira. "But the month have January still has not arrived and, because of this, I will wait to see that happens."

"We are receptive to proposals and we are here to study what would be most convenient for everyone involved."

"When we sit at the table we will  analyse all the solutions and we will certainly find one. Maritimo have sold players where we maintained a certain percentage of their rights."

NOOOOOO! PLEASE GOD NO! Maritimo need them! Their 2 great players, Baba is a great up and comer, and Djalma is a superstar, i believe he could step up no matter where he plays.

These 2 would be a huge loss for the club, however i guess they can get good profits.

Maritimo have alot of other great players in their arsenal also, i really think that after the big 3 and Braga, they are the next best team.
